Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at marion@yogaformama.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Absolutely! Perinatal yoga is a beautiful way to introduce your body and your mind to yoga. Options are always offered during class so it can suit every body.

If you have been practising yoga for a while before your pregnancy, you might want to continue with your usual practice. Feel free to do so, as most teachers should be able to adjust their sequences to make them pregnancy safe. However, it can be good to add prenatal specific sessions to your practice: the asanas (postures), the breathing techniques and meditation sequences are chosen specifically to cater to pregnancy needs, to help with pregnancy-related pain and ailments, and to prepare for birth and motherhood.

The answer is quite simple: Whenever you feel like it! There are some benefits for every stage of pregnancy. So unless you are aware of some complications with your pregnancy, joining a class will feel magical and safe during each trimester.

While both are focusing on pregnancy and birth recovery as well as welcoming back strength in your body and enhancing your overall wellbeing (physical, emotional and mental health), Postnatal yoga is about working with yourself first, and Mums & Bubs yoga is offering you the opportunity to do so while connecting with baby at the same time.
